Our Texas expansion will help retailers reach an additional 19 million consumers with faster, more reliable delivery at a lower cost
Our team at LaserShip and OnTrac is excited to announce that we’re expanding to Texas to help retailers reach 19 million new consumers with faster, residential e-commerce delivery. Starting in early 2023, we’ll be making deliveries from our first-ever facilities in the state in the fast-growing urban megaregion of Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio.
Everything is bigger in Texas—including our 300,000 sq. ft. Dallas-Fort Worth facility, which will operate as our major sort hub in the state and will facilitate millions of deliveries to more than 7.6 million residents in the greater DFW metroplex and provide easy access to the I-35 and I-20 corridors. We’ll also be creating hundreds of new jobs at the four facilities to help meet local delivery demand and boost economic growth across the regions.
As national carriers are admittedly focusing on yield and revenue quality rather than their customers, we are helping retailers win more customers and build brand loyalty across the Lone Star State. Our priority has always been our relationships with our retail partners, and feedback we received from them overwhelmingly highlighted the need for a proven alternative to national carriers in Texas. We are proud to fill that void and provide retailers with a parcel carrier that can help them meet their customers’ expectations of faster delivery, scale their businesses, increase their flexibility, and protect their margins.
By expanding to Texas, our combined LaserShip and OnTrac delivery network will reach 68% of the U.S. population in 2023. Retailers will also be able to take advantage of our new transcontinental delivery service to reach consumers in the country’s most populated regions with faster, reliable home delivery at a lower cost. Launched as a product of our 2021 merger, the transcontinental service connects our complementary East and West Coast delivery footprints to move packages from coast to coast in as little as three days.
